To maintain and advance the required data delivery goals IFA are seeking a Geo-Environmental Data Analyst and Support to maintain and develop current data management systems and support project orientated data processes and delivery. The successful candidate would be reporting to the Technical Manager.

This role may be office, hybrid or home based. Visits to IFA permanent or temporary sites or Client facing meetings will be required. The role is available as a full-time position. For the right candidate part-time working could be considered, alongside the company’s existing flexible working arrangements

Data comprises the primary deliverable on our projects. Achieving data delivery goals relies on the accurate and efficient collection, manipulation, management, presentation and interpretation of that data. It is considered that management and development of these data driven processes is critical to the future growth, efficiency and technical advancement of IFA.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting IFA offices through the lifecycle of geo-environmental data including capture, conversion, manipulation, management, interpretation, etc
  • Supporting staff with the implementation, adoption and integration of field data capture systems
  • Assist with the development and implementation of field data capture systems
  • Design and development of new data collection apps
  • Develop staff skills in the use of Holebase SI through a combination of raising awareness and providing training/mentoring and support
  • Develop new processes and tools for reporting
  • Development and delivery of training to staff engaged in data processes
  • Reviewing company wide data workflows and developing increased data workflow efficiencies
  • Documenting data processes
  • Liaise and coordinate with key staff from other RSK Group businesses via relevant working groups
  • This role will include the capture, manipulation, conversion, management, interpretation and delivery of geotechnical and geo-environmental data. Data process and business systems support will also be provided to all IFA business areas.
  • All work must be carried out with due diligence, adhered to by the RSK procedures & completed within the given time scales agreed.  Excellent communication is required to inform/liaise with IFA colleagues and other project stakeholders.

What we're looking for:

  • A natural problem solver and able to use initiative to find solutions
  • Proficient user of MS Excel including development of macros
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of AGS data format
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Knowledge of geoscience data management software preferably HoleBASE SI
  • Knowledge of laboratory information management systems preferably KeyLAB
  • Knowledge of coding / low code applications
  • SQL and Coding skills not mandatory but desirable
  • CAD and GIS skills are not mandatory but desirable
  • Geo – environmental background preferred
